The Miracle Kids story of kids with cancer Dream Day Foundation Dream Day Foundation (DDF) is a local non-profit organization qualified by the IRS and based in Baton Rouge, LA. The sole function of the Foundation is to raise funds for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Dream Day started when a local St. Jude patient, Danny Bozeman, wanted to go fishing. That single event created a fun-filled day for one child and his family. The excitement of the day led a group of businessmen to start Dream Day Foundation in 1994. Now with local board members and hundreds of volunteers, Dream Day Foundation has been able to contribute over a million dollars to St. Jude in their fight against childhood cancer and other catastrophic diseases. Each year, Dream Day Foundation hosts "Fishin' Galore", a day filled with activities for the cancer patients and families of St. Jude in nearby Clinton, Louisiana. The day features fishing, games, rides, crafts and food. More than 1,000 people attend this annual event to celebrate life and gain support from one another.
